Low mileage on a Jolly should come as no great surprise- how many miles can it be from the dock to the club?  Introduced in 1957 ,the Fiat Jolly, with coachwork by Ghia, was used by many wealthy playboys, including Fiat chief Gianni Agnelli, who loaded these cars on their yachts and used them as beach cruisers when they went on vacation.
Weighing in at a mere 1,050 lbs, the Jolly could accomplish speeds of 59mph,while acheiving gas mileage of 52mpg, thus becoming the ideal super-yacht dingy.
The Jolly here is a later European example fully refurbished in 2005 in Turino, Italy.
Mechanically solid, the motor was rebuilt along with the addition of new brakes, steering and suspension. Cosmetic work included new chrome and brightwork, wiring, instruments, paint (Fiat Avorio Antico #234)
wheels and tires.
Upon completion, the past owner had this Jolly confirmed by the Registro Storico Fiat (REGISTRY # 1462) as well as by the Carrozzeria Ghia Club Italia.
Restoration receipts and complete photo album of restoration accompany the car, as well as mentioned registration documents.
Jollys have been going through the roof if you can find one in this condition.
A little charmer!
