Now available at Carriage House Motor Cars is this well preserved 1956 Porsche 1600 Speedster. Only 850 Porsche 1600 Speedsters were produced in 1956 making this example rare and highly desirable. This car has been under the care of one owner for the past 39 years. The car has received one repaint during the last 39 years. The car was never driven in the winter and was garage kept its entire life. This car is all numbers matching including its engine, transmission and correctly stamped body panels (hood, deck-lid and doors). This car has even retained its original bee-hive tail lamps, marker lights, mirrors, hood emblem, interior knobs and steering wheel. The cars originality speaks for the care it has seen during its ownership.
Upon arriving at CHMC, the car went through a mechanical refresh to get the speedster running at its best. This included a complete tune up, all new fluids, new oil lines, fuel system flush and a few other mechanical details. This car has the feel and drive of a vehicle that has never been apart which cannot be duplicated.
